And when sensation starts fading, the fear goes beyond the pain itself. You may begin wondering whether you’ll lose your balance, become dependent on someone else, or slowly lose the independence you’ve worked so hard to maintain.

But researchers began asking a different question:

What if you’re not simply “getting older”? — and what if you’re not doing anything wrong?

For years, people were told to focus on aging, blood sugar, vitamin deficiencies, and simply managing the symptoms. But a different possibility began emerging from research into toxins, bioaccumulation, and the way microscopic substances can interfere with nerve signaling.

The investigation became especially interesting after scientists began looking at microplastics — particles so small they can be difficult to detect, yet increasingly found throughout our environment.

In 2024, research cited in the investigation reported finding microplastic particles directly in the human brain.

Researchers then began looking for something that could interact with these microscopic particles in a completely different way.

They compared different types of salt, plants, herbs, exotic fruits, and minerals — approximately 312 different species in total.

The goal was simple: find a compound capable of reproducing and accelerating a process that already occurs naturally when seawater interacts with plastic.

And after months of testing, something unexpected emerged.

A mineral found in Red Himalayan Salt produced a reaction that immediately caught the researchers’ attention.

The investigation reported that this salt contained a concentration 32 times higher of a compound called magnesium trioxide compared with sea salt.

When the compound was isolated and introduced to microplastic samples under controlled conditions, researchers observed the particles gradually losing their rigid structure under the microscope.

But that was only the beginning.

In the results presented, 72% of the people who received the isolated mineral reported a clear reduction in burning and pain, compared with less than 8% in the control group.

After 21 days, the reported average reduction in neuropathic pain reached 86%.

And in another set of observations, more than 4,895 people reportedly experienced significant or near-complete relief from their symptoms.

One person described the difference in the simplest way possible:

“I can finally feel my feet again.”
